Inspiring Creativity

ASPIRE!

ASPIRE! is dedicated to providing everyone with the opportunity to explore the Creative Arts and discover their own unique place within it.

Established in 2009 to offer high quality, unique learning and participation opportunities for the residents of Lichfield and surrounding areas, ASPIRE! aims to engage individuals of all ages in activity which inspires, raises awareness, increases self-confidence and expands creative thinking. Our programme complements the national curriculum, offering students inspiring and enriching experiences that might not otherwise be accessible to them, and since inception we have worked with thousands of individuals in schools, community groups and partner organisations to achieve our aims. Projects are curated by the Festival team and are unique to Lichfield Festival.

ASPIRE! is split into 4 unique strands:
Spark – Engaging & Inspiring new audiences.
Champion – Sponsored music lessons and performance opportunities for schools.
Leap – Youth led programmes and career development.
Splash! – The BIG Project! An annual celebration of creativity.

The programme works with an array of children, young people and adults each year on a range of arts projects, culminating in showcases at the Lichfield Summer Festival and Lichfield Literature. We deliver fully planned and resourced sessions, led by skilled practitioners, that require no additional teacher time and can be scheduled flexibly to suit your availability. We are always keen to hear from schools, community organisations and individuals who would like to get involved in our projects.

Find out about upcoming opportunities for students to get involved and get access to subsidised tickets for this year’s Festival by joining our Schools & Community Network here.
