The first author-in-residence at lichfield literature is a writer for children who has created two enduring lead characters: Emily Windsnap lives on a boat and it doesn’t take long for her to realise she is half girl, half mermaid. Philippa Fisher’s world changes when she discovers she has a fairy godsister.
Liz Kessler studied English at Loughborough University, has worked as a teacher and a journalist, and has an MA in Creative Writing from Manchester Metropolitan University. After a year touring Europe in a camper van, she now lives in St Ives, Cornwall.
