The Lichfield Poets have produced their latest anthology to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the ending of the Second World War and the 95th anniversary of Anzac Day.
This collection of original poems and prose created by the members of the group focuses on the many interpretations of the word “battle”, whether on a battlefield or in a private setting; indeed some entries are written from personal experience. They have also aimed to provide some more light-hearted poems on the subject of life in general.
The Lichfield Poets will be reading from this new publication as well as other recent original works.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to the National Memorial Arboretum Appeal for the NMA at Alrewas, Lichfield.
