In a celebration of the region’s creativity, arts and craftspeople will be demonstrating their artistic skills, selling handmade goods, performing on one of our performance stages, running creative activities for visitors and offering information on how they might get involved in arts and crafts activities.
This year’s market is our biggest yet with craft stalls stretching around Minster Pool. Highlights of the day will include walkabout characters, a programme of entertainment at the Cathedral and in Minster Gardens, craft makers from across the region and free music workshops from Junk4Funk.
With over 120 stalls to browse, a range of world cuisines to sample and entertainment throughout the day, the Festival Market is the perfect destination for the whole family.

The Florette Festival Market is a showcase for crafters, food vendors, arts and charitable organisations. The event takes place on the first Saturday of the Lichfield Festival and is based in the Cathedral Close. Stallholders travel from around the country to display their wares in one of the most beautiful settings in Britain. 2012 will be the fourth Market in its current form, though the Festival has held a market in one guise or another on the same Saturday since 1995. It is and always has been an extraordinarily popular event, attracting in the region of 25,000 visitors each year.
