2009 Festival
Welcome

Festivals, with their excitement, intensity, and variety, are needed more at times like this than at almost any other. The opportunity to experience the unexpected, to share beautiful art in beautiful places with family and friends, or to snatch an hour’s intimate live music can entertain, surprise and delight, often leaving memories that last for years.

Lichfield Festival continues to offer extraordinary events at great value, once again presenting some of the world’s great artists in both Lichfield’s glorious Cathedral and excellent Garrick Theatre.

ImageWhile events for families and children are dotted throughout, keep an eye out for Dreamfighter, a wonderful new production full of music and storytelling.

Students can still get best available tickets to all events on the door for only £5, and half price tickets for under 18s for many events are available in advance.

On behalf of the Lichfield Festival team, I am delighted to welcome you to the 2009 Lichfield Festival. Whether you live locally or have travelled a distance, whether you come to many events or just the one, whether you dress up or prefer to wear flip flops, I look forward to seeing you here in July.

Festival Director
