Land in an Isle (world premiere)

One of the most exciting consorts in the early music field, La Nuova Musica’s Lichfield Festival debut features a recital of arias and instrumental works inspired by the cities of Rome and Venice. They are joined by Staffordshire-born star soprano Lucy Crowe, one of the leading voices of her generation and a regular guest on the world’s greatest stages, including Covent Garden and the Metropolitan opera, New York.

Nico Muhly’s Land in an Isle is co-commissioned by La Nuova Musica with the support of the Fidelio Charitable Trust, and by Wigmore Hall with the support of André Hoffmann, president of the Fondation Hoffmann, a Swiss grant-making foundation

‘Lucy Crowe dazzles with her every appearance…’ The Sunday Times
