Please join us to hear and rejoice in the glory of Handel’s sublime Messiah, one of the greatest works ever written, all in the splendour of the Lichfield Cathedral.
This very special Festival performance sees our 150-strong ‘Come & Sing’ choir of local singers accompanied by Orchestra Nova and joined by international soloists Rebecca Bottone soprano and Polly Leech mezzo (2019 Artists in Residence), Robert Murray tenor and David Ireland bass, all under the baton of conductor and choral workshop specialist, Patrick Craig (St Paul’s Cathedral, The Tallis Scholars).
Update 11th June – Due to high demand, Singing Tickets for this event have now SOLD OUT. We are currently looking at ways to extend the size of the choir for a second time – further updates will be posted here. Should we be able to re-open booking, however, this will be for Tenors and Basses only.
To book a wheelchair user space please contact the Box Office on 01543 306150. A 50% discount is available to carers and essential companions (not available to book online).
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FRONT ROW FOR THIS EVENT WILL BE ROW G. The orchestra will be on the floor directly in front of the stage for this performance, to allow sufficient room for our singers on stage. Therefore the front 6 rows of seating have been removed and the front row of the audience will now be row G.
