It is with much sadness that we have taken the decision to postpone our literature festival. Given current conditions and advice, we want to ensure that all our audiences, authors, volunteers and staff remain as healthy as possible and we feel it is our duty and responsibility to protect others by not proceeding with our events at this time.

We are currently investigating options for rescheduling events and ask that you bear with us in the meantime whilst we talk with different venues and authors. We are also in talks with our box office - run externally - and appreciate your patience whilst we finalise information for those who have purchased tickets for events due to take place at the end of March. We will keep you informed as soon as we have further information.

Thank you all for your continued support - as a charity we rely so much on income from our audiences and sponsors to keep running and hope that, however uncertain the future is at present, we can continue to bring high-quality, inspiring multi-arts experiences to the Midlands.

One Night Only – Tony Hadley in Lichfield Festival Fundraiser!

Lichfield Festival and Lichfield Cathedral present

Tony Hadley Live

Sponsored by City Jewellers of Lichfield

Tuesday 3 December 2019 | 8pm | Lichfield Cathedral

Tony Hadley is to give a very special, one-off performance to help raise funds to support Lichfield Festival, of which he is a Patron. This event takes places on Tuesday 3 December and is a unique opportunity to see the singer in the glorious surroundings of the medieval Cathedral.

Backed by a fabulous band, the gig will see Tony perform a selection of his classic hits, as well as songs from his latest album and a sprinkling of festive favourites.

The former Spandau Ballet frontman and I’m A Celebrity … star, who has family connections to the city, became a Patron of Lichfield Festival in 2017, helping to emphasise the Festival’s broad appeal and wide-ranging programming.

In addition, he has generously agreed to donate his fee to St Giles’ Hospice which cares for local people and families living with potentially terminal illness.

Tony Hadley said, ”It is such a privilege to be able to perform in the magnificent Lichfield Cathedral.  It’s going to be a wonderful evening that will also raise money for two very important causes.  The band and I are really looking forward to it.”

Chair of Lichfield Festival, Helen Wiser, said, “It’s been a delight to have Tony on board as a Patron and we are thrilled that he has agreed to support the Festival and St Giles’ Hospice in such a generous way.  The concert will be a brilliant and very special start to the festive season.”

This concert is very kindly sponsored by City Jewellers of Lichfield.

Tony Hadley will be returning to the region in 2020/21 as part of a 40-date UK tour to celebrate his 40 years in the music business.
